It's mean of me, but my brother and I were just talking about the Koroks, and he mentioned that they somewhat looked like Ginseng roots. This is the image that popped in my head, so I had to draw it out 
For those of you who don't know what Ginseng is... it's an herbal root. There are bottled health drinks of the stuff with the Ginseng root included in the bottle.
