I've been wanting to draw junk ships for a while now... and I've also been wanting to draw a pirate battle scene. So I ended up with this ^_^
Here you see Chinese Pirates boarding a Spanish Sloop.
These aren't historically accurate! It was hard looking for references on Chinese pirates. Well, try googling it - see what you get >_<. So, for the most part, I made up their clothes, A lot of guesswork went on the ships as well... I saw some images of junk ships, but they didn't help. I had to work from memory (from trips to Hong Kong, lol).
The lil round monkey and rat was designed by my bro... he doodled them in while I was sketching this out ^_^ They're so cute.
Done similarly to my Legend of Zelda artworks. This time I can finally put it in the Vector category (I couldn't before since there wasn't a 'fanart' section).
Wow, yet another masterpiece One of those you could stare at forever AS for historical accuracy, well.. I wouldn´t notice anyway (unless they´d be wearing Bluejeans or something XD)
Hmm.. that sky and sea look incredibly beautiful. Hats off once again, miss-chibi-action ^o^
I really like your waves. They sorta have that battle-esque (wtf?) feel to them. *cough*
On a serious note, your perspective is excellent and your use of color themes is awesome. Great job!
Stunning work! You're amazing with Illustrator (**feels jealous**). Perhaps the best about the picture, other than the wonderful humour and the imaginative storytelling, are the monkey and the pikachu like blob!! ^_^
Wow!
Now I remember why i watch you. It's so great to see some more amazing work!
This is fantastic...it's just full of life and action. The lighting and colours are perfect Chinese. No doubt.
